The Day I Called My Power Back

I changed my beliefs—but I was still showing up with my old patterns. Until last week...

There’s something you should know about me.

I’ve done the work.

I’ve walked through the fire of my old beliefs; the ones that told me I had to hustle for love, that success had to be hard, that I was only valuable if I could prove I was valuable.

I’ve uncovered the roots of my self-sabotage, learned how those beliefs were planted in childhood, and I’ve rewritten them; again and again.

So why, I kept wondering,Why hasn’t everything I’m ready for… shown up yet?

I felt the frustration rising like smoke.Because I wasn’t doubting myself anymore.I wasn’t afraid to shine.I knew how far I had come.

But something still felt stuck.

I realized something that morning…

In meditation, a voice rose up in me; not scared, not small, but sovereign and powerful.

An experience I hadn't felt before. It said:

“You’ve been trying to live your new self… through your old system.”

Even though my beliefs had changed,I was still walking through the world like the woman who was unsure. The woman who waited for validation.Who second-guessed.Who dimmed her light, just enough to stay safe.

And I’ve lived as her for so long, she became familiar. That old identity; the one who learned to tolerate what didn’t feel good, was still running my actions, even after my soul had moved on.

So that morning a voice rose up that said, “That’s enough.”

I sat up in my room and said it out loud:

No more shrinking, no more waiting. No more tolerating what doesn’t align with who I am; with all my powerful gifts, talents and strengths.

Because I am a powerful, brilliant, divinely blessed woman, and I am ready to share what I’ve learned with the women who are still where I used to be.

And here’s the wild part...

Within an hour of that declaration, the Universe responded.

Someone I spoke to months ago; a woman who once backed out of hosting a class for me, messaged me out of the blue.

She quit her part-time job.She wanted to revisit the idea. She wanted to talk.

Now, will that opportunity become something? I don’t know yet. But the timing wasn’t random.

Because I didn’t beg for it. I didn’t chase it.I orderd it and aligned with it.

And once I aligned, the opportunity arrived.

What changed?

I stopped asking for what I wanted from a place of doubt, (which was part of my old belief system), and I started claiming it from a place of truth and knowing.

The old me would have hesitated. Sent a few DMs and waited for validation. The new me?

I spent the rest of the day reaching out. Pitching ideas.Following up on collaborations I had put off. Owning what I bring to the table without apology.

Not because I was trying to make it happen. But because I finally believed it could and the value of what I am offering.

If you’re where I was…

If you’ve done some inner work but life still hasn’t caught up…

Ask yourself:

“Am I living as the woman I desire to become, or still operating like the woman I am trying to leave behind, or used to be?”

Your new self deserves a new system.

Your new beliefs deserve bold action.

You don’t have to earn what’s already yours.

All you have to do… is align with what is already yours.

I’m here when you're ready to believe better, and rise to the version of you who is waiting for you.

This is so good, Trish! I've been feeling the same way and just made that realization last week. I claimed it in full faith and doors have been opening for me! Good luck with your appointments. 🩷
