Happy Holidays

A Moment to Pause, Reflect, and Choose What Comes Next

As the year comes to a close, I want to begin with one simple message:

Happy Holidays.

Not the rushed, overextended kind. Not the performative kind. But the kind that allows you to breathe, soften, and come home to yourself, even if just for a moment.

This season has a way of stirring everything.

Joy and grief. Connection and loneliness. Hope and exhaustion .Memories you cherish, and memories you still feel.

If you’ve noticed yourself feeling more sensitive, more reflective, or more reactive lately, there is nothing wrong with you. The end of the year naturally invites review. And review often activates old patterns, old stress responses, and old beliefs we didn’t even realize were still there.

A Quiet Shift

As many of you may have noticed, my work, and this space, has evolved.

This blog is now rooted in a simple truth:

Stress doesn’t appear randomly. It follows patterns.

What I’ve learned, through decades of study and lived experience, is that stress is rarely the real problem. It’s a signal, pointing us toward something unresolved, something outdated, or something that no longer belongs in the next chapter of our lives.

Less fixing. Less forcing. More listening. More meaning. More integrity.

The Holidays Don’t Require Perfection

If there’s one piece of advice I want to offer as we move through the holidays, it’s this:

You don’t have to make this season mean more than it does.

You don’t have to:

  • resolve every family dynamic

  • feel joyful every moment

  • be grateful in ways that feel forced

  • carry emotional weight that isn’t yours

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is notice what your body and mind are asking for, and honor that instead of expectations.

Rest is productive. Boundaries are generous. Slowing down is not falling behind.

What Are You Ready to Leave Behind?

As 2026 quietly approaches, this is a beautiful time to ask yourself a few gentle questions, not from pressure, but from curiosity:

  • What patterns created stress for me this year?

  • What beliefs kept me stuck in reaction, survival, or self-judgment?

  • What am I tired of carrying?

  • What no longer fits who I am becoming?

You don’t need to have all the answers.

Awareness alone begins the shift.

And What Do You Want to Bring Forward?

Just as important:

  • What do you want more of?

  • What feels aligned, steady, and true?

  • What kind of life, not just goals, are you ready to build?

  • How do you want to feel as you move through your days?

The future isn’t created by effort alone. It’s shaped by the patterns we choose to keep, and the ones we finally allow to change.

A Closing Wish

As you move through this season, my wish for you is simple:

That you give yourself permission to pause. That you listen to what stress is trying to show you, without judgment. That you leave behind what no longer serves your nervous system, your health, or your truth. And that you step into 2026 a little lighter, a little clearer, and more connected to yourself than ever before.

Happy Holidays, and here’s to meaningful shifts ahead.

With warmth,Trish Heitz
